Terms of service
These terms apply when you use portraitplug.com ("Portrait Plug", "we", "us") to create a portrait preview or buy a digital portrait or canvas. By uploading a photo or placing an order you agree to them.
1. What we do
Portrait Plug turns photos you upload into stylized artwork, such as pencil sketch, color sketch, neon and pop art portraits. The artwork is generated with artificial intelligence (AI) image tools using styles we design. Because of this, results can vary, and small details may differ from your original photo. You always see a watermarked preview before you pay.
2. Your photos
- You may only upload photos that you took yourself or have permission to use, and of people who have agreed to it (or, for minors, whose parent or guardian has).
- Don't upload photos that are sexual, violent, hateful, illegal, or that infringe anyone's rights. We may refuse or delete any upload.
- You keep all rights to your photos. You give us a limited permission to store and process them only to create your artwork, deliver your order and provide support, as described in our privacy policy.
3. Your artwork
When you pay for a portrait, you may use the final artwork for any personal purpose, including printing, framing, gifting and sharing on social media. You may not resell the artwork or use it in paid advertising without written permission from us. We won't display your photo or artwork publicly without your permission.
4. Orders and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and may change, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Digital portraits are delivered as a download link right after payment. Canvas prints are made to order and shipped to the address you provide at checkout.
- Refunds, replacements and shipping are covered by our refund and shipping policy.
5. Free previews
Previews are free and watermarked. To keep the service fair we limit how many previews one person can make per day. Previews you don't buy are deleted within 7 days.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site, including trying to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, using it to create misleading or harmful images of real people, or getting around previews or payment.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The site and artwork are provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, Portrait Plug isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
